SYLVIA R. SCHROEDER NIESE
LEIPSIC - Sylvia R. Schroeder Niese, 80, of Leipsic, died 2:55 a.m., Friday, August 30, 2013 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.  She was born December 5, 1932, in Glandorf to the late Adolph and Adeline (Kreinbrink) Kleman.  On May 6, 1953, she married Albert T. Schroeder.  He died October 14, 1992.  She then married Victor Niese on September 23, 1995.  He died May 24, 2002.
Surviving are 9 children: Janice Schroeder of Leipsic, Karl (Alice) Schroeder of Chandler, AZ, Charlene Franz of Carey, Mary Ann (Richard) Berg of Deshler, Kenneth (Barb) Schroeder of Gilbert, AZ, Dale (Teresa) Schroeder of Defiance, Marilyn (John) Siefker of Ottawa, Jane (David) Berg of Lima and Randy (Teresa) Schroeder of Tiffin; 22 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul (Marlene) Kleman of Glandorf; 2 sisters: Dorothy Riepenhoff of Miller City and Jeanette (Bill) Gluss of Hamler and a sister-in-law, Hilda Kleman of Fort Jennings.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Richard Kleman and James Kleman; and 2 sisters: Leona Kleman and Odelia Kleman.
Sylvia retired from Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa in 1995.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church Leipsic and its Altar Rosary and Catholic Ladies of Columbia.  She was a member of the Leipsic American Legion Auxiliary, prayed the rosary daily, enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing euchre, and being with family and friends.  She was a volunteer at Putnam Acres and The Meadows of Leipsic and assisted at community events and weddings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with the Most Reverend Fr. George Wenzinger.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Monday and from 2 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic where a AmericanLegion Auxillary service will be held
at 7 P.M. and a CL of C rosary will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
