Tamara J. Spencer

CONTINENTAL – Tamara J. Spencer, 62, of Continental, died at 1:15 p.m., Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice. She was born June 26, 1960 in Defiance to the late James A. and Betty J. (Nash) Bartley. On April 4, 2019, she married Troy Spencer, who survives in Edgerton.

Other survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth J. Doeden of Edgerton; a grandchild, Malaki Powell; three brothers: Ronnie Bartley, Mike (Chris) Bartley and Bob (Stacy) Bartley, all of Defiance; and a stepsister, Denita Stahl of Continental.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Jimmy, Ted and Roger.

Tamara was a retired LPN. She was a former member of Junction Baptist Church. She loved hunting, fishing, gardening and shopping. Tamara was the matriarch of the family.

Funeral services will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with Pastor Ray Buell officiating.  Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be held from 1 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
