Ted C. Homier

OTTAWA - Ted C. Homier, 78, of Ottawa, died at 5:44 p.m. Sunday, August 8, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on January 14, 1943 in New Bavaria to the late Sylvester and Germain (Swary) Homier.  On June 12, 1965, he married LaVonne Wiemken.  She survives in Ottawa.

Other survivors include two sons:  Chad Homier of Ottawa and Ryan Homier; a brother and sister: Verl (Merna) Homier of New Bavaria and Carolyn Franzdorf of Defiance; and two sisters-in-law: Phyllis Homier of Defiance and Patti Homier of New Bavaria.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Marvin Homier and Thomas Homier.

Ted was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard.  He was a co-owner of Touches in Glandorf and formerly worked as a financial consultant. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf and participated in the church choir for 22 years. He was a volunteer at Mercy Health St. Rita's Hospital, Lima. Ted loved music, especially Polka and Waltz, he played the accordion and enjoyed woodworking.

Funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Father Tony Fortman officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
