Terri Lee (Stahl) Sherry

MELROSE – Terri Lee (Stahl) Sherry, 79, of Melrose, passed away at 9:54 a.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at her home. She was born January 14, 1947, in Melrose to the late Ray and Hazel (Fellers) Stahl. She attended Melrose School. In 1962, she married Carl Sherry, who survives in Melrose.

Terri was a homemaker for years raising their four children. When her kids were older, she was a Home Health Caregiver for years. She loved her elderly patients and always went above and beyond caring for them. Terri’s biggest accomplishment were her four children. She loved being “Mom” and “Grandma Terri.”

She is survived by her children: Beth Dobbelaere, Greg Sherry and Pennie (Dewey) Baughman; her grandchildren: Josh Sherry, Kylee Dobbelaere, Kaci Elliott, Megan (Gabe) Dobbelaere-Buchman, Aaron (Ashley) Sherry, Darcie (Matt) Reeb, Andrea (Adam) Ricker, Chelsi (Scot) Vogel, Broc (Jessica) Baughman, Joey Sherry, Cassandra (Gabe) Pardo, Zach Sherry, Caleb (Sylar) Sherry and Myranda (Gunther) Mohr; 25 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild with one more on the way; and a sister, Marcia Shaffer.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Douglas Sherry; grandson, Brandon Dobbelaere; and a son-in-law, Mark Dobbelaere.

She left a legacy of love with a lot of hugs and kisses for her family.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 28, 2026 at Melrose Community Church with Rev. Carol Retcher officiating. Burial will follow in Little Auglaize Cemetery, Melrose. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood and 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday at the church.
