Terry L. Eickholt
OTTOVILLE – Terry L. Eickholt, 69, of Ottoville died 3:11 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2021 at The James Cancer Center, Columbus. He was born February 14, 1952 in Lima to the late Roman and Agnes ( Schwaiger) Eickholt. On September 25, 1982 he married Stacy Edwards, who survives in Ottoville.
He is also survived by a daughter: Missy Wenzlick of Cincinnati; 2 sons: Erik (Kenzie) Eickholt and Tony Eickholt, all of Cloverdale; 5 grandchildren: Rudy, Kianna and Avery Wenzlick, Alexis and Taylor Eickholt; 2 brothers: Bob (Donna) Eickholt and Alan (Ann) Eickholt, of Cloverdale; 4 sisters: Mary (Ken) Doseck, of Upper Sandusky, Bonnie (Bill) Beining, Leah (Dan) Ditto and Lisa (Albert) Bilimek, all of Cloverdale.
Terry was preceded in death by a son: Adam Lee Eickholt and 2 brothers: Roman Eickholt, Jr., John Eickholt; and a sister: Joyce Eickholt.
He was a US Army Veteran, serving from 1972-1974, and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Ottoville and the Ottoville VFW. He retired from Central Soya in Delphos after 42 years. Terry enjoyed coaching in the Ottoville youth soccer and baseball programs, and went on to coach the Ottoville JV & Varsity boys high school soccer teams. He loved spending time outdoors, where he loved to fish, hunt & trap, making a lot of great memories with his family during his annual fishing trip to Mitchell's Bay, Canada. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. One of his favorite hobbies was raising chickens and supplying eggs to friends and neighbors. Even in retirement, he was a devoted right hand man at Eickholt Elite Construction.
Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, with Father Jerome Schetter officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Ottoville VFW. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township, and one hour prior to Mass at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to: Make a Wish Foundation or James Cancer Research Hospital.
