Terry A. Maag

FT. JENNINGS – Terry A. Maag, 61, of Ft. Jennings, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.  He was born March 27, 1962, in Lima to the late Cletus and Alice (Wannemacher) Maag. On September 8, 1984, he married Mary Vorst, who survives in Ft. Jennings.

Terry is also survived by two children: Kristen (Ryan) Vinson of Columbus and Kyle (Taylor Bohman) Maag of Ft. Jennings; and nine siblings: Ronald (Joyce) Maag of Ft. Jennings, Gary (Diane) Maag of Kalida, William "Bill" (Norma) Maag of Ft. Jennings, Judy (Karl) Fortman of Kalida, Janice Schroeder of Ft. Jennings, John Maag of Lima, Randy (Rita) Maag of Cloverdale, Rick (Laurie) Maag of Ft. Jennings and Tim (Janet) Maag of Monroe, MI.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Maag; and brother-in-law, Alan Schroeder.

Terry worked for Ford Motor Company, Lima and was the former owner/operator of K & K Auto and Truck Sales, Ft. Jennings. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings.

Terry was a devoted father, cherished husband, and a pillar of strength for his family and friends. His unwavering love, wisdom, and warm sense of humor touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be remembered for his kindness, resilience, and the countless precious moments he shared with those he loved.

Funeral Mass will begin 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday, with a scripture service starting at 7:45 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
