Thelma E. Rosengarten Kuhlman

New Cleveland -- Thelma E. Rosengarten Kuhlman, 94 of New Cleveland died 7:58 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2017 at Putnam Heritage, Ottawa.  She was born May 23, 1923 in Putnam County, OH to the late George D. and Mary Catherine (Luttfring) Niese.  On May 6, 1942 she married Arthur H. Rosengarten, who preceded her in death on March 25, 1991.  On November 26, 1994 she married Thomas A. Kuhlman, who preceded her in death on December 5, 2000.

She is survived by her 7 children:  William (Karen) Rosengarten of Circleville, Dianne (Norm) Schulte of Kalida, Richard "Dick" (Janet) Rosengarten of McClure, Paul "Spin" (Becky) Rosengarten of Miller City, Bonnie (LeRoy) Kahle of Ottawa, Keith (Jay) Rosengarten of Miller City and Nancy (Eric Duling) Karhoff of Findlay;  20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a sister: Irene Kahle of Columbus Grove; 9 step-children:  Carol (Kenneth) Vennekotter, Elaine Laudick, Stanley (Rita) Kuhlman, Daniel Kuhlman, Robert (Kathleen) Kuhlman, Kathleen (Dan) Kern, Charlotte (Larry) Salisbury, Susan (Ken) Verhoff, and Anthony (Cheryl) Kuhlman; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Thelma is preceded in death by her twin sister, Velma Schmenk; and sisters: Arlene Rosengarten and Rita Clapp and step-son-in-law, Jim Laudick.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland and its Altar Rosary Society.  She was also a member of the New Cleveland C. L. of C. Council #215.  She was a self-employed cake decorator and had also worked for Mrs. Myers Bakery, Leipsic.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a scripture service will be held at 1:45 p.m. and a C. L. of C. service will be held at 7:30 p.m..
