LEIPSIC - Thelma P. Gomez, 60,of Leipsic died at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born February 19, 1954 in Mission, TX to the late Andreas Abelino and Viola (Flores)  Peralez.
She is survived by 2 sons: Baldemar Alafa, Jr. and David (Esmeralda) Alafa both of Leipsic; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Juan Peralez and Fabian Peralez both of La Joya, TX; 4 sisters: Eva Fuentes of McAllen, TX., Francisca Ceniceros of Chicago, IL., Maria Del Socorro Rodriguez of La Joya, TX., and Melinda Peralez of La Joya, TX. She was also preceded in death by a brother: Adam Peralez, Sr. and a sister: Abelina Barraza.
Thelma worked at Hearthside Foods in McComb and received her Bachelor of Marketing and Sales from Owens College. She was a member of the Church of the Living God Ministries, Findlay. Thelma loved her plants and enjoyed refurbishing furniture.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Pastor Juan Salinas officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
