Theodore R. Burgei
MILLER CITY - Theodore R. Burgei, 71, of Miller City, died at 11:57 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Aultman Orrville Hospital, Orrville. He was born December 30, 1942 in Toledo to the late Cletus and Marietta (Vorst) Burgei. On November 26, 1964 he married Norma Hilvers who survives in Miller City.
Also surviving are 8 children: Carrie (Thomas) Leopold of Ottawa, Ted (Christine) Burgei of New Cleveland, John Burgei of Miller City, Renee Herrera of Defiance, Charlotte (Anthony) Alt of Miller City, Tony Burgei of Miller City, Dan Burgei of Miller City, and Eric (Alisha) Burgei of Ottawa; 19 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and one on-the-way.
Ted retired from Philips formerly of Ottawa after 35 years. He was the former owner of Ted's Beauty Shop. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa and the Ottawa Eagles. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, Sudoku, camping, and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and friends and watching Eric's band perform.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will October 4,2014 at 2 P.M.  in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a scripture service at 7:50 p.m. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
