Theodore "Ted" Sealts

FT, JENNINGS - Ted Sealts, 79, of Ft. Jennings died at 7:25 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2017 at his residence. He was born December 25, 1937 in Lima to the late Eugene and Mary (Siefker) Sealts. He was raised by Ray and Odelia Siefker and they also are deceased. On August 30, 1958 he married Marilyn Ellerbrock who survives in Ft. Jennings.

Also surviving are four children, Carol (Ken) Kahle and Kathy (Chris) Kehres both of Kalida, Kevin (Amy) Sealts of Ottawa, and Dan (Sharon) Sealts of Ft. Jennings; fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren;  three sisters, Marlene (Paul) Kleman of Glandorf, Ruth (Werner) Funke of Dallas, TX., and Elaine (Karl) Steffan of Leipsic; and two brothers, Bob (Karen) Siefker of Houston, TX and Vince Siefker of Missouri.

Ted was a retired farmer. He was a member of the National Guard, St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida, the Kalida Knights of Columbus, and the Ottawa Eagles and American Legion.  His family meant the world to him and he enjoyed spoiling the many dogs that he had over the years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2017 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a K of C rosary service at 7 p.m.
