Theodore J. "Ted" German
Theodore J. "Ted" German, 53, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Ottawa, Ohio passed away at 5:45 p.m., September 15, 2014 at Norton Inpatient Hospice after a brief battle with Cholangiocarcinoma. Ted was also a registered Organ Donor. Ted was born on March 28, 1961 to Karl H. and Doris R. German. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Ottawa.
He was a Master Electrician at Amerisource in Kentucky. He graduated from Ottawa-Glandorf High School in 1979 and Interstate Technical Institute in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Ted enjoyed canoeing on the Blanchard and Ohio rivers with friends, traveling the open road on his Harley, hunting, fishing and attending George Strait concerts.
He is survived by special friend Lori Colorita and four sisters, Karla (Randy) Shock of Lima, Nancy (Roger) Vennekotter of Ottawa, Lynda (Leonard, JR) Schnipke of Ottoville, Diane (Daryl) Croy of Ottawa. Also surviving are nine nieces and nephews, A'ndrea (Andrew) Monday, Erik (Michelle) Shock, Abby Vennekotter, Ross Vennekotter, Ashley (John, III) Linser, Dusty (Leanna) Schnipke, Curt (Kayla) Croy, Mitchell (Brittany) Croy, Nolan Croy, eight great nieces and nephews, and 1 on the way.
A Memorial mass will be held on October 11, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Ottawa, with Father Matt Jozefiak officiating. Family receiving line will be after mass. Burial will be at a later date.
