Theresa G. Ellerbrock

LEIPSIC – Theresa G. Ellerbrock, 99, of Leipsic, passed away at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at The Meadows of Leipsic. She was born June 18, 1927, to the late Francis and Amelia (Stechschulte) Jostpille. On October 18, 1950, she married Karl C. Ellerbrock who preceded her in death on December 10, 1992.

She is survived by 5 children: David (Mary Ann) Ellerbrock of Liberty Twp, Ohio, Anna Mae (John) Blankemeyer of Ottawa, Sr. Marilyn Marie Ellerbrock SND of Toledo, Joe (Marti) Ellerbrock of Sykesville, MD, and Charlie (Deb) Ellerbrock of Leipsic; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren with 1 on the way; and 1 sister: Rita Kaufman of Ottawa.

Theresa is preceded in death by 6 siblings: Clarence Jostpille, Dorothy Swary, Marguerite “Peggy” Schroeder, Viola Krietemeyer, Mary Jane Moening, and Agnes Horstman.

She was a member of St Mary’s Catholic Church, Leipsic, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, sang in the funeral choir, led rosaries with the Rosary Altar Society, was a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia, Leipsic American Legion Auxiliary, and helped cook for many wedding receptions.

Funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. Dave Nuss officiating. Burial will follow in St Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Leipsic. A visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic, with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. and 1 hour prior to services on Wednesday at St Mary’s Catholic Church.

Memorial donations may be made to Sisters of Notre Dame, Toledo, or St Mary’s Catholic Church.
