Theresa A. Macke

OTTAWA – Theresa A. Macke, 81, of Ottawa, died Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at her residence. She was born December 23, 1941, in Lima to the late Louis H. and Anne (Mura) Macke.

Survivors include two sisters: Marilyn McCann of Scotland and Barbara Macke of Lima; one sister-in-law, Miriam Macke of Mansfield; and niece and nephew: Laura (Rob) Chesher and Kevin (Samantha) Macke.

She was also preceded in death by two siblings: Maynard Macke and Dorothy Macke; brother-in-law, Tom McCann; and nephew, Keith Macke.

Theresa was a retired teacher from Ottawa-Glandorf High School. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, and its Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed reading, knitting, gardening, cooking and traveling.  Theresa loved spending time with her family and friends.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
