Thomas John Brickner
OTTAWA - Thomas John Brickner, 58, of Ottawa died at midnight, December 27, 2014 at The Meadows of Kalida. He was born January 3, 1956 in Lima to the late Alfred and Bernadine (Heuerman) Brickner.  Surviving are his sisters and brothers: Mary Lou (George) Krietemeyer, Ft. Jennings, Sr. Joann Ury, Sister of Mercy, Gastonia, NC, Janice (John) Tenwalde, Ottawa, Daniel (Wanida) Brickner, Callaway, FL, Jerry (Mary) Brickner, Ottawa; sister-in-law: Patricia Brickner, Ottawa and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother: Louis Brickner.
Tom retired from Brookhill Workshop. He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa; Ottawa Eagles and Ottawa Knights of Columbus.  He was a Special Olympics gold and silver medal winner.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2014, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. John Stites officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a scripture service will be held at 7:50 p.m.
