Thomas E. Hanneman
GLANDORF – Thomas E. Hanneman, 78, of Glandorf died at 2:20 p.m. Monday October 8, 2012 at The Meadows of Kalida. He was born December 30, 1933 in Glandorf to the late Frank and Clara (Birkemeier) Hanneman. On June 6, 1976 he married Mary Margaret "Marggy" Hoorman. She died September 24, 1990.
He is survived by a son: Christopher R. (Melissa) Hanneman of Findlay; a granddaughter: Rylie Hanneman; a brother: Robert (Jane) Hanneman of Glandorf; and 2 sisters: Mary (Neil) Balbaugh of Miller City and Eleanor "Norie" Schnipke of Kalida. He was also preceded in death by 4 brothers: Sylvester, Ignatius, Francis "Shorty", and Joseph; and 2 sisters: Rita Gerten and Agnes Hoehn.
Tom was a farmer and had worked at Verhoff Alfalfa Mill for many years. He was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church and the church choir. He was an Army Peacetime Veteran and a social member of Ottawa VFW.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Ottawa VFW and American Legion. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mary Margaret Hanneman Foster Fund.
