Thomas N. Hermiller

MILLER CITY - Thomas N. Hermiller, 81 of Miller City died at 3:55 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2016 at The Meadows of Kalida.

He was born April 2, 1935 in Miller City to the late William F. and Marie (Dulle) Hermiller.  On August 24, 1957, he married Joann M. Schulte who died December 31, 2009.

Survivors include 7 children: Luke (Becky) Hermiller of Kalida, Joseph Hermiller of Malinta, Howard (Sandy) Hermiller of Ottawa, Rose (Kyle) Reed of Hilliard, Leonard (Teresa) Hermiller of Miller City, Louis (Stacy) Hermiller of Sand Coulee, MT, and Emily (Kyle) Gillespie of Belt, MT; 17 grandchildren; 2 brothers: Paul (Katie) Hermiller of Kalida and William Hermiller, Jr. of Miller City; a sister: Virginia Pester of Miller City; 2 sisters-in-law: Eleanor Hermiller of Miller City and Cecelia Hermiller of Leipsic; and special friend: Georgine Vonder Embse of Lima.  He was preceded in death by 5 brothers: August, Robert, Lawrence, Joseph, and Leonard Hermiller.

Thomas was a farmer and carpenter.  He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City and Knights of Columbus, Ottawa.  He was an Army Veteran.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City with Fr. Stephen Schroeder officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Rites by V.F.W., American Legion, and AM Vets all of Ottawa.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a Rosary Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. by the Ottawa Knights of Columbus.
