NEW BAVARIA - Thomas E. Homier, 79, of New Bavaria died at 12:45 a.m. on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Bridge Hospice, Findlay.

Thomas was born on March 1, 1938 in New Bavaria to the late Sylvester and Germain (Swary) Homier.  On November 28, 1964, he married Patti Kuhlman who survives in New Bavaria.

Survivors also include a son, Roger (Janet) Homier of New Bavaria; two grandchildren, Grace and Alvin Homier; two brothers, Verl (Merna) Homier of New Bavaria and Ted (La Vonne) Homier of Glandorf; a sister, Carolyn Franzdorf of Defiance; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Homier of Defiance.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Homier; and a brother-in-law, William Franzdorf.

Thomas was a farmer and an Army Veteran.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria, Northwest Model Railroad Association, Veterans of Foreign War, New Bavaria, and New Bavaria Fire Department.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria with Fr. Nick Cunningham officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic where a Rosary Service will be held at 1:45 p.m.
