Thomas "Tom" J. Herr

OAKWOOD - Thomas "Tom" J. Herr died at 4:40 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice.  Tom was born January 22, 1943 in Defiance to the late Lewis and Helen (Starlin) Herr. On August 26, 1961 he married Sharon Andrews, she survives in Oakwood.

Tom is survived by his children:  Randy (Annette) Herr of Continental, Bob Herr of Oakwood, and Ryan (Jennifer) Herr of Grover Hill; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother:  Daniel Herr of Paulding; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved bird Sydney.

He is preceded in death by four brothers; one sister; a daughter in law: Tina Herr; and a great-grandson: Tripp Foor.

Tom worked for SK Tool for 44 years.  He loved riding motorcycles and had been to Florida and Texas many times.  He also loved woodworking.

There will be no funeral services. The arrangements are under the direction of HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood.
