Thomas B. Riepenhoff
GLANDORF - Thomas B. Riepenhoff, 88, of Glandorf, died at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at The Meadows of Kalida. He was born September 25, 1925 in Miller City to the late Louis and Hulda (Edelbrock) Riepenhoff. On June 26, 1948 he married Edna Recker who survives in Glandorf.
Also surviving are 6 children: Don (Ginnie) Riepenhoff of Glandorf, Roger (Rose) Riepenhoff of Ottawa, Alvin (Judy) Riepenhoff of Glandorf, Rose Ann (Dave) Hermiller of Miller City, Joan (Denny) Karhoff of Glandorf, and Linda Ellerbrock of Ottawa; 13 grandchildren; a brother: Melvin (Connie) Riepenhoff of Shawnee; 3 sisters: Ina Buckland of Ottawa, Marilyn (Bob) Hamburg of Kalida, and Agnes McDonald of Defiance; and a sister-in-law: Dorothy Riepenhoff of Miller City. He was also preceded in death by a brother: Gilbert Riepenhoff; a sister: Mildred (Bud) Bollig; and 3 brothers-in-law: Bob Buckland, Raymond Jr. McDonald, and Paul Utendorf.
Tom was a lifelong dairy and grain farmer. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf and its Holy Name Society. He was a Army Air Force veteran of WWII. Tom was also a life member of Ottawa American Legion and VFW, and  a member of Ottawa Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed woodworking and traveling.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Ottawa American Legion, VFW, and AMVETS. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME Ottawa where there will be a scripture service at 1:45 p.m. and a K of C rosary at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf.
