Thomas J. “Tom” Romer

OTTAWA – Thomas J. “Tom” Romer, 66, of Ottawa, passed away at 5:02 a.m., Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. He was born July 24, 1960, in Lima to the late Lawrence and Dorothy (Siebeneck) Romer. On October 10, 2020, he married Cindy Roberts, who survives in Ottawa.

Other survivors include two stepchildren: Matthew (Taylor) Roberts and Amanda (Kevin) Haase; eleven grandchildren: Landon, Carson, Brooklyn, Draven, Cohen, Braelynn, Everett, Alyviah, Lylan, Caiden and Madisyn; three siblings: Linda (Jerry) Llewellyn, Chuck Romer and Rick (Joan) Romer; and three nephews: Jared (Brittaney) Llewellyn, Dylan (Lindsey) Llewellyn and Bret (fiancé Danielle) Llewellyn.

Tom formerly worked at Nienberg Supply in Glandorf. He enjoyed gardening plants and flowers, traveling to the Smokey Mountains and going on cruises. Most of all, Tom loved spending time with his grandkids.

A funeral service for Tom will begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 25, 2026, at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Pastor Ben Jennings officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. A scripture service will be begin at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
