Timothy J. Bailey, Sr.

OTTAWA - Timothy J. Bailey, Sr., 64, of Ottawa, died 8:24 a.m. Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born September 19, 1957 in Lima to the late Paul and Elizabeth (Krontz) Bailey. On October 5, 1974, he married Deb Prinzi and she survives in Ottawa.

Other survivors include three children: Timothy "TJ" Bailey, Jr. of Harrod, Chris (Mandy) Bailey of Glandorf and Justin Bailey of Ottawa;  two granddaughters:  Taylor and Kyla Bailey; four grandsons: Cayden, Gaven, Brennen and Landon Bailey; and two sisters: Paula (Don) Siefer of Deshler and Anna "Cathy" Ketcham of Cairo.

Timothy was a maintenance man for Ottawa Oil, a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa and a member of the Country Diamond Dancers Line Dance Club.  He was a bass guitar player for Fathom Band and Country Gentleman. He ran demolition derbies for 37 years where he loved bonding with his three sons.  He loved CB radios and spending time with his grandkids. He never missed any of their events.

Funeral mass will begin 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2022 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa and Saturday one hour prior to the mass at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
