Todd E. Runyan

MELROSE – Todd E. Runyan, 65, of Melrose died 7:24 a.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.  He was born September 6, 1954 in Delphos to the late Todd E. and Wilma (Best) Runyan, Sr.  On August 10, 2013, he married Sue Slattman and she survives in Melrose.

Other survivors include five sons: Christopher (Kimberli) Brown of Continental, Joshua Brown of Cloverdale, Peter (Hayley) Brown II of Bowling Green, Ronald "RJ" DeVelbiss of Melrose and Brandon DeVelbiss of Paulding.  five grandchildren: Retta, Ezra, Lucas, Bentlee and Christopher II; three sisters: Debra (Don Gillum) Coplin of St. Mary's, Mary Shaeffer of Delphos, Patricia LaRue of Delphos; two brothers: David (Tracy) Runyan of MO and Michael (Lynn) Runyan of Delphos; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother: William Runyan; and a brother-in-law: Ralph Shaeffer.

Todd was a millwright and retired business owner.

Visitation will be Monday 5 to 8 p.m. at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Oakwood.
