Twila M. Blubaugh

FINDLAY – Twila M. Blubaugh, 95, of Findlay died 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at The Legacy at The Heritage, Findlay.  She was born September 29, 1920  in Somerset County, PA to the late Harry and Maggie (Hostetler) Shaulis.  On September 1, 1938 she married Ray O. Blubaugh, who preceded her in death on July 10, 2004.

She is survived by her 5 children:  Wayne (Evelyn) Blubaugh of Albuquerque, NM, Lloyd (Barbara) Blubaugh of Fort Jennings, Leon (Eleanor) Blubaugh of Waynesfield, Kevin Blubaugh of McComb and Zola Dulle of Columbus Grove; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Twila is preceded in death by her 7 siblings:  Roy Shaulis, Edna Sleasman, Clyde Shaulis, Ira Shaulis, Leslie Shaulis, Mary Showman and Oran Shaulis.

Twila was a former member of St. John United Methodist Church, Columbus Grove.  She was a member of the Ottawa VFW Ladies Auxiliary.  Twila enjoyed dominoes, bingo and working crossword puzzles; and liked to watch Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and Golf.  She loved to share stories of her childhood in Pennsylvania and how they made moonshine.  She was an excellent cook and was known for her baking.  While her husband, Ray was living they enjoyed traveling, camping and bowling together.

A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2016 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Rev. Lynda Lockwood officiating.  Burial will follow in Harman Cemetery, Gilboa.  Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
