Velma C. Otto

Kalida - Velma C. Otto, 91, of Kalida, formerly of Leipsic died 3:50 a.m. Friday, September 1, 2017 at The Meadows of Kalida.  She was born January 12, 1926 in Leipsic to the late Henry and Louise (Selhorst) Brown.  On September 17, 1946, she married Thomas Otto who died January 9, 2015.

Velma is survived by her children: Thomas (Betty) Otto of Cloverdale, Richard (Melanie) Otto of Park City, UT, Steven (Gerilyn) Otto of Ottawa, and Sue (William) Flood of Charlotte, NC; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a sister: Rosemary Lammers; and a brother: Robert Brown.

Velma worked at the former Philips, Ottawa.  She was a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic.  She was an avid golfer, tennis player, and enjoyed reading and playing bingo.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2017 at St. Mary's Cemetery, Leipsic with Fr. William Pifher officiating.   Arrangements are being handled by Love Funeral Home, Ottawa.
