Veronica L. "Roni" Warnecke

FREMONT (formerly of Ottawa)  - Veronica L. "Roni" Warnecke, 76, of Fremont, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023 at her residence. She was born April 1, 1947 to the late Raymond and Gladys (Jones) Wirick. On April 1, 1967, she married Ronald S. Warnecke, who preceded her in death on December 3, 2018.

Survivors include two children: Michele (Bryan) Zienta of Fremont and Leigh Warnecke of Sierra Vista, AZ; a granddaughter, Olivia Zienta of Bowling Green; and four siblings; Linda (Denny) Cherry of Pandora, Ronald Wirick of South Charleston, WV, Karen Chattin of Morganton, NC and Chera Brunfield of South Charleston, WV.

She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Ronald Scott Warnecke.

Veronica was a bartender and cook for 35 years for the former Hitching Post, Ottawa and Buckeye Club, Miller City. She loved crafting, gardening, making floral arrangements and watching dirt track/sprint car racing.

Funeral service will begin 1:30 p.m., Saturday, August 19, 2023 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Fr. Stephen Schroeder officiating.  Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
