Viola L. Krietemeyer
FORT JENNINGS – Viola L. Krietemeyer, 92, of Ft. Jennings, died at 8:58 p.m. on May 4, 2015 at The Meadows of Kalida. She was born in Pandora on January 11, 1923, the daughter of Frank and Amelia (Stechschulte) Jostpille. Both preceded her in death. On October 23, 1946 she was united in marriage to Harold Krietemeyer who died October 15, 2014.
She is survived by eight children: Michael (Teresa) Krietemeyer of Akron, Ronald (Kathy Ceronsky) Krietemeyer of Woodbury, MN, Judith Krietemeyer of Poolesville, MD, Elaine Krietemeyer of Lima, Carol Hicks of Bowling Green, James (Minette) Krietemeyer of Brooklyn, NY, Catherine Suever of Westlake and Donna (Tom) LaDu of Milford, MI.
She is also survived by three sisters: Theresa Ellerbrock of Leipsic, Agnes Horstman of Cloverdale, and Rita Kaufman of Ottawa, twelve grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Clarence Jostpille, and three sisters: Dorothy Swary, Marguerite (Peg) Schroeder, and Mary Jane Moening.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was a member of St. Joseph's parish, Ft. Jennings, the Altar-Rosary Society, and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She also served the parish as a choir member, Eucharistic minister, and parish secretary. She was a creative and resourceful woman, an excellent seamstress, and a superb baker of pies and cinnamon rolls. She enjoyed playing cards and was a bridge club member for more than 50 years.
Mass of Resurrection will be Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings with Fr. Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ft. Jennings. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township and one hour prior to the mass Saturday at the church. CL of C rosary will begin at 7:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
