Obituary

Virginia "Ginny" Kirkendall GLANDORF - Virginia "Ginny" Kirkendall, 83, of Glandorf, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at her residence.  She was born on October 19, 1941, in Ottoville, to the late John and Mildred (Otte) King.  On August 25, 1962, she married Larry K. Kirkendall, he preceded her in death on July 8, 2020. Ginny is survived by three children:  Tricia Horstman of Glandorf, Cathy (Mike) Beckman of Ottawa, and Kent (Ashley) Kirkendall of South Lebanon; grandchildren: Ross (Nicole Schwab) Beckman, Mallory Kirkendall, Jillian Kirkendall, Abby (Bob) Maas and Lucas Horstman; great-grandchildren: Garrett, Logan, Caitlyn, Griffin, Zander, and Callie; in-laws: JoAnn Kirkendall of Van Wert, Sue Kirkendall of Napoleon, Kay Roberts of Reading, MI., and Steve (Camille) Kirkendall of Scottsdale, AZ. She is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lisa Marie; a brother, Jeff King; a son-in-law, Dennis Horstman; and in-laws, Dick Kirkendall, Don Kirkendall, and Lynn Kirkendall. Ginny was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf and its Altar Rosary.  She taught at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School and Ottawa Elementary for over 40 years.  Ginny enjoyed golf, traveling, reading and shopping.  She was an amazing wife, mom, and grandma.  She was happiest when she was with her family.  Ginny was a genuine caring person. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Matt Keller officiating.  Burial will be held at a later date.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, with a rosary service beginning at 7:30 p.m., and again on Thursday from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor's choice Condolences may be expressed at www.lovefuneralhome.com
