Wallace F. Relyea

CONTINENTAL - Wallace F. Relyea, 77, of Continental died at 1:06 a.m. Sunday, February 14, 2016  at  Heartland of Waterville in Waterville.  He was born April 7, 1938 in Defiance to the late Wallace D. and Luella (Osborn) Relyea .   On October 12, 1958, he married Patricia Ann Rockey who passed away April 5, 2012.

Wallace is survived by three daughters: Christine (Bill) Murphy  of Continental, Cynthia (Kevin) Wilson of Grover Hill, Carla (Dave) Wagner of Continental; seven grandchildren: Tyler and Alayna Leatherman, Alec Murphy, Nick (Katie) Wilson and Liz, Zack and Joshua Wagner; eight great-grandchildren:  Selena, A.J., Brady, Brylee, Adalyn, Oliver, Evelyn, Gracelyn and several brothers and sisters: Richard (Marlene) Metz of Bryan, Paul (Betty) Relyea of Defiance, Revella and Harold Buchanan of Defiance, Peter and Linda Relyea of Paulding, Marilyn and Homer Greer of Sherwood and Carolyn Carnahan of Bryan. He is preceded in death by: Don Metz, Russ Metz, Veta Holt, Reba Hahn and Mae Osborn.

Wallace retired from the former Dinner Bell Foods in Defiance., and then worked for S&S Express in Defiance.  He was a member of Dupont Church of the Brethren  and a 1956 graduate of Defiance High School.  He enjoyed baking and entertaining friends and family.

Funeral Service will begin 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Dupont Church of the Brethren with Rev. Terry Porter officiating.  Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance.   Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental and  one hour prior to service on Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be given to the church or the Gideon's.
