Wayne L. Fackler

LEIPSIC – Wayne L. Fackler, 80, of Leipsic, died at 10:20 a.m., Monday, August 5, 2024 at The Meadows of Leipsic. He was born December 11, 1943, in Hamler to the late Albert and Margaret (Wilson) Fackler.  On October 2, 1965, he married Patricia Balbaugh, who survives in Leipsic.

Wayne is also survived by a brother, Albert Fackler of Leipsic.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Roger Fackler; and two sisters: Janet Balbaugh and Joyce Merritt.

Wayne retired from Mars in 2008. He also worked for P & G Metal Forge until 1998. He was a veteran of the US Army National Guard and member of the Leipsic Eagles, Leipsic VFW and Deshler Legion.

Funeral service will begin 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 9, 2024 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Pastor Tim Eding officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic with military rites by the Leipsic VFW and Deshler Legion. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday and 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Putnam County Dog Shelter.
