Wayne E. Patrick

GLANDORF – Wayne E. Patrick, 72, of Glandorf, passed away at 1:20 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Meadows of Ottawa.  He was born January 18, 1949 in Lima to the late Wayne and Mary (Cox) Patrick.  On February 24, 1973, he married Jane Wortkoetter, she preceded him in death on February 28, 1996.

He is survived by two children: Nathan (Jill) Patrick and Heather (Sean) Brickner, both of Ottawa; five grandchildren: Ava, Sophia and Claire Brickner, Dillon and Lilliann Patrick; and five siblings: Patty (Mike) McInally, Linda Larson, Leroy (Cindy) Patrick, Frank Patrick, all of Ottawa and Jake (Sue) Cox of Myrtle Beach, SC.

Wayne was a U.S. Army veteran.  He had worked at Weatherseal, Ottawa.  Wayne was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, as well as the Ottawa VFW, Ottawa Amvets, and the Ottawa American Legion.  He was also a volunteer at the Meadows of Ottawa.  Wayne enjoyed bowling, playing softball, fishing, and walking the fairgrounds.  He loved spending time with his grandkids.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Father Tony Fortman officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Ottawa VFW and American Legion.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
