Wesley B. Ratliff

Grover Hill – Wesley B. Ratliff, 68, of Grover Hill died 3:30 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2016 at his residence.  He was born November 29, 1947 to the late Dorse and Mallie (Hoskins) Ratliff.  On November 22, 1971 he married Debbie Mays, who survives in Grover Hill.

Also surviving are his children and their families:  Mark (Holly) Ratliff of Defiance and their children:  Kevin Payne, Sterling (Patricia) Payne, Jessica Ratliff and Kyle Ratliff and grandchildren:  Xavier Payne and Zoey Ann Ratliff; Myra (Judd) Parrett of Oakwood and their children:  Justin (Alyssa) Parrett, Cole Parrett and Madison Parrett and grandchildren:  Taelynn Parrett and Avery Parrett; and Holly (David) Thompson of Grover Hill and their children:  Kayla (Zak) Sullivan and Cory Thompson and granddaughter:  Brooklynn Sullivan;  Mother-in-law and best friend:  Garnet Mays of Oakwood; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Wesley is preceded in death by a son:  Larry Russell Ratliff, a brother and a sister.

Wesley retired from General Motors, Defiance and was a Vietnam Army Veteran.  His family meant everything to him and he enjoyed spending time with them.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2016 at the HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood.  Burial will follow in Auglaize Chapel Church of God Cemetery, Oakwood with military rites by the Oakwood American Legion.  Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Heitmeyer Funeral Home and again on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
