Wilfred G. "Bill" Homier CONTINENTAL - Wilfred G. "Bill" Homier, 88, of Continental, passed away at 8:40 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Defiance Inpatient Hospice, Defiance.  He was born December 7, 1936, in Continental to the late Cletus and Florence (Nienberg) Homier. On November 23, 1957, he married Marlene Etter, who preceded him in death on March 16, 2022. He is survived by three children: Kevin (Kathy) Homier of Defiance, Eric (Teresa) Homier of Dupont and Tiffiny (Mike) Zachrich of Continental; six grandchildren: Tess (Roy) Salisbury, Brock (Samantha) Homier, Taryn Homier, Tyce Homier, Sloane (Kyle) Howard and Jade Zachrich; six great-grandchildren: Isla Salisbury, Charlotte Salisbury, Blake Homier, Layla Homier, Briar Howard and Libby Howard; five siblings: Ray Homier of Continental, Daniel Homier of Cloverdale, Joyce Baldwin, Janet Sullivan and Suzie Berger, all of Continental; and a special friend, Lorsey Ritch of Antwerp. He was also preceded in death by three sisters: Mary Collier, Judy Homier and Betty Schulte. Bill was the former owner of Homier and Sons, Inc., Continental.  In 1966, he expanded the business to Payne, Ohio, which became one of the largest Gleaner Combine Dealers in the world for a period of years. He was affiliated with St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Continental. Bill enjoyed camping, fishing, going on crop tours and absolutely loved watching his grandkids play sports. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with Fr. Phil Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
