Wilhelm "Willie" Forster
Miller City - Wilhelm "Willie" Forster, 82 of Miller City died 5:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013 peacefully in his sleep at his residence. He was born July 29, 1931 in Wurzburg, Germany to the late Anton and Lina (Weiglein) Forster. On July 7, 1955, he married Inge Kloska who survives in Miller City.
Willie is also survived by his 3 children: Angie Benjamin of Findlay; Tom (Jean) Forster of Miller City and Jeff Forster of Ottawa; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and a brother-in-law: Dr. Charles Kidd of Ottawa. He is preceded in death by a sister: Maria Kidd and a brother-in-law: Otto Vennekotter.
Willie was owner of Forster Land, Clearing and Excavating before retiring. He was a member of the former St. Isadore Catholic Church in Cuba and the former St. Joseph Catholic Church, North Creek. He immigrated to the United States in 1960, with his wife and daughter, Angie. He formerly worked at the Ford Garage in Ottawa and Verhoff Machine and Welding. He then started a bulldozing business with his partner, Len Verhoff, which later became Willie Forster's Land, Clearing and Excavating, which he operated until 1998. He was an avid fisherman, Nascar Fan and loved the outdoors. He was a member of the Miller City Sportsman Club.
A funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with Deacon Doyle Erford officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
