William E. Berg
LEIPSIC - William E. Berg, 75, of Leipsic died at 8:57 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Meadows at Putnam Acres, Ottawa. He was born March 28, 1937 in Leipsic to the late Peter and Nora (Wilson) Berg.
He is survived by his 2 brothers: Bernard (Rita) Berg and Richard (Kim) Berg both of Leipsic; several nephews and nieces; and several great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law: Mary and Robert Courtney.
Bill worked at Allied Egry in Leipsic, drove truck for Butler Brothers, and retired from Philips formerly of Ottawa. He was a veteran of the Coast Guard and a social member of Leipsic VFW. He was also a member of Leipsic Fish and Hunt Club, Miller City Sportsman Club, and the Moose Lodge in Findlay. Bill enjoyed going to flea markets and gun shows. He was a 1957 graduate of Leipsic High School.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Rev. Bill Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday all at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Putnam County Hospice.
