William H. “Bill” “Harry” Ellerbrock
KALIDA – William H. “Bill” “Harry” Ellerbrock, 76, of Kalida, passed away at 10:24 a.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. He was born June 23, 1949, in Lima to the late Gilbert and Louise (Honigfort) Ellerbrock.
Survivors include six children: Dawn Ellerbrock, Paula Ellerbrock, Lesley (Eric) Unverferth, Emily (Aaron) Dillard, Brad Ellerbrock, and Alicia (Kevin) Klima; ten grandchildren: Derrick (Brittani) Ellerbrock, Courtney Bockrath, Cohen Unverferth, Makenna Peck, Kylie Peck, Lyle Dillard, Anna Dillard, Preston Ellerbrock, Kendyl Klima and Camdyn Klima; four great-grandchildren and one on the way; three siblings: Mary Jane (Doug) Mullenhour, Don (Karen) Ellerbrock, and Patty (Richard) Shaffer; a sister-in-law, Donna Ellerbrock; and special friend, Jane Schimmoeller.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, William Eric Ellerbrock; and a brother, Denny Ellerbrock.
Bill retired from General Motors, Defiance after working for 35 years. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Kalida and lifetime member of the Ottoville and Ottawa VFW. Bill loved taking his grandchildren for rides in his 1963 Chevy Impala convertible. He also loved participating in car shows. He enjoyed playing euchre and was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians, Browns, and Cavs.
Funeral Mass will begin at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2026, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Phil Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
