William A. "Willy" Cleemput
Kalida - William A. "Willy" Cleemput, 68, of Kalida died 6:38 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014 at UC Medical Center in Cincinnati. He was born December 24, 1945 in Avis, Ohio to the late Paul and Mathilda (Bellman) Cleemput. On September 20, 1969, he married Connie Sarka, who survives in Kalida.
William is also survived by his 4 children: Jeff (Amy) Cleemput of Kalida, Greg (Terry) Cleemput of Columbus, Ryan Cleemput of Kalida, Mark Cleemput of Findlay; 4 grandchildren; Ben, Sarah, Nick and Mandalyn Cleemput; a brother: Michael (Mindy) Cleemput of Pataskala and 6 sisters: Helen (Bill) Niese of Leipsic, Margaret Arendt of Pickerington, Mary Harmon of Montreal, Canada, Diane (Walt) Stull of Brunswick Maryland, Bertha (Dan) Heitmeyer of Pickerington, Marsha (Ted) Warrington of Toledo.
Willie retired in 2008 from Cooper Tire Company, Findlay. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida and its Holy Name, Kalida Fish & Game Club and Ottawa Eagles. He loved woodcarving, bowling, camping, gardening and classic cars, especially the corvette. He was an accomplished artist. His greatest love was his family and especially his grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida, with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in St. Isidore Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
Memorials may be given to the charity of donor's choice.
