Zita M. Ruhe
OTTAWA - Zita M. Ruhe, 93, of Ottawa, died at 7:50 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2015 at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born July 23, 1922 in Glandorf to the late Frank and Anna (Palte) Duling. On May 6, 1942 she married Victor H. Ruhe who died July 6, 2001.
She is survived by 4 children: Gary (Paula) Ruhe, Michael Ruhe, Judy Imm, and Barb (Mike) Kuhbander all of Ottawa; 10 grandchildren: Todd (Janelle) Ruhe, Chad Ruhe, Brian (Angie) Ruhe, Shawn Imm, Craig (Heather) Ruhe, Nicole (Herbie) Aldrich, Faye (Nick) Felkey, Randy (Jill) Imm, Nicholas (Whitney) Ruhe, and Justin (Kelly) Kuhbander; 16 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law: Bonnie Ruhe of Ottawa; 2 brothers: Alvin (Shirley) Duling of Ottawa and Ralph (Dorothy) Duling of Glandorf; and a sister-in-law: Dorothy Duling of Ottawa. She was also preceded in death by a son: Dennis Ruhe; a son-in-law: Jeff Imm; 2 brothers: Elmer and Leander Duling; and a sister: Angeline Duling.
Zita worked for Westinghouse, Lima, Beckman Jewelers and Paul Fortman Cleaners both in Ottawa. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ottawa where she was a Minister of Praise, a member of the Altar Rosary Society, and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. Zita was a member of the Ottawa American Legion Auxiliary, numerous card clubs, and was an avid bingo player.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2015 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Rick Friebel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a CL of C and Altar Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and a scripture service at 7:50 p.m. on Sunday. Memorials may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Endowment Fund.
